Can't believe I am trying to do this, but even so, I am unfortunately not able to get the device manager to detect any drivers within the extracted file. I chose one By: firekitten, the most recent was quaranteed by Macafee for containing a Trojan. This one appears good. I can't really get any of the contents to work independently, so I have no way to directly install a driver through the device manager or the file contents.
AMCAP is present as Awatson16 mentioned, various application extentions, security catalogs, and SET files.
I will keep pushing, but it isn't looking so good. If anyone has any solutions, please respond. Even if many years goes by, I would like a response out of sheer curiosity and persistence.
To make a video call, you must have a webcam installed and selected for use through the Skype 'Video Settings' feature. You can also hook up your Skype to your PS3, using its 'Eye,' the PS3's video camera, to make video calls from your PS3.
Ps3 Eye As Webcam On Pc

[Henry Tonoyan] has started getting into OpenCV and digital control system projects. He needed a decent webcam that could do higher than standard frame rates. As it turns out, the PS3 Eye is actually a pretty capable little camera. Now that it’s kind of obsolete, you can have it for as little as $7 from places like Amazon!
The PS3 Eye has a standard USB interface, and after messing around with it a bit in Linux, [Henry] was able to adjust the frame rate settings for his application. He’s using a library called video for Linux with an application called qv4L2. It’s capable of 60fps at VGA, which we admit isn’t amazing, but at $7, we can’t complain — if you drop down to QVGA (320×240) you can go up to 120fps.
- They eyetoy is missing a driver, when plugged in your computer will recognize that it is a picture/video device but not that it is a webcam, you need to install a driver that will allow your computer to recognize it as a webcam and use it as one. This instructable should cost you no money, assuming that you already have an eyetoy.
- The PlayStation Eye (trademarked PLAYSTATION Eye) is a digital camera device, similar to a webcam, for the PlayStation 3. The technology uses computer vision and gesture recognition to process images taken by the camera. This allows players to interact with games using motion and color detection as well as sound through its built-in microphone.
From there you can play around in OpenCV to your heart’s content.
Ps3 Eye Webcam
If you have a Playstation 3 and the PS3 Eye Camera for the Playstation Move setup, you can actually use it to record videos, record audio, and take pictures for FREE with it! There are a number of companies that make webcams for computers, but PlayStation 3 owners who have the PS3 EyeToy have the advantage of a webcam that includes motion-sensing technology. The PS3 EyeToy camera can be used on a computer, provided that special drivers have been installed.

Can I Use Ps3 Eye As Webcam
Seeing as the Eye has been out for over 7 years now, it has been used in quite a few hacks since then. From an actual eyeball tracker (seriously), to an interactive projection globe with touch tracking to even a physical tower defense game.
